A Drink With…Ngahuia Williams

Ngahuia Williams is one of those people you envy because they seem to be good at everything. The successful model has now opened up her own shop, N Model Management, using her experiences and industry insight to help propel young modeling talent. She was kind enough to answer a few of our questions.

For those who dont know much about you, can you tell us a little about your background?
I grew up in Auckland, NZ. I am part Maori, I have been involved in the fashion industry for about ten years, as a model. I now own my own small modeling agency called NMODELMANAGEMENT.

What does being Naturally Spirited mean to you?
Being comfortable in your own skin

Who were your female role models growing up?
My mother raised me she is the best female roll model I have.

How did you get started in the modeling industry?
Through a family friend

Any advice for young girls thinking about pursuing a career in modeling?
Send your photos around, you never know until you try.

What are your favorite memories/stories from shoots you have been on?
I love shooting in exotic places even though its work it feels like a privilege to be there like a holiday in a way. Some of my fav shoots have been in Mexico, I love that place

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Wiser and Happier I hope.

Favorite places to eat in Auckland?
Mexican Specialities in Ellerslie is amazing!!!!

Favorite places to shop in Auckland?
I am a big fan of Savemart New Lynn

Favorite places to go out in Auckland?
Malt in Grey Lynn is cool for a quiet drink. Golden Dawn in Ponsonby is another

Can you show us your top 3-5 images you have appeared in in your career and the reasons why they are your favorite?

First image…………… I just like it cause my hair is red!!!!!!!


Second…….. Adam custins shot this!!! This looks like me with no make up. I like it a lot


Third………. This shot was shot by mark carter up north in Ahipara. I love northland, great energy and memories.


Fourth……..Just shot the new campaign for twenty seven names, this is my fav from the campaign.
